Tire disposal rules vary state to state, not sure how New York works. But if you really want it gone you could always check with local repair shops/tire shops. There will be a small fee, believe its $2-3 dollars a tire here.
Yeah, I work for the county that collects it here...we're about the same.

Also know several shop owners/managers.

I'm due for a trip to the dump anyway for a bunch of other "stuff"....

But keep looking out for that Christmas present.... 🤔

$5 here almost anywhere! Interestingly, if you cut the sidewalls off they can be disposed of at the landfill. They really prefer the carcass be cut into quarters also.

We have to pay a tire disposal fee when we buy the tires. So when they are junk we don’t have to pay to get rid of them. Not sure how the money works for that but I can drop as many tires as I want into a pile at our dump station.

Yep, we get a State tire fee too when we buy them. I think $2, maybe $5.

But still have to pay to get rid of them..

Welcome to New Yorkistan.

Our (not my) Governor resigns his office eff. Tuesday.

Can't leave fast enough....

At least his replacement is from Buffalo....i.e., Upstate New York. Maybe she will have some common sense.

She has been to the Car Museum I'm part of a couple times.

Home - Northeast Classic Car Museum

This is the end of our "Raffle Car season", so there's an ad there for it. Not intended as a solicitation to you guys. It's a major fundraiser we've done since 1997, to help keep the doors open.

We have some cool tractors in our themed exhibit for a short while more.

No Kubotas in the exhibit....
