I have a 1979 Kubota L295DT 4WD, it has been sitting around for a few years, lately I replaced the fuel injectors (brand new). I'm having a hard time getting it back to normal operation. I got it started finally, but it cuts out when below 1000 RPM, the speed advance function works fine, I can push it up to 2500 RPM. But the engine will not idle below 1000 RPM.
I think the idle control on the fly wheel side of the fuel pump might be the problem. Is there a guide line for adjusting the screw of the idle adjustment mechanism ? Is there a technique to adjust the idle control ?
I am planning on opening the inspection plate on that side of the governor. Does anyone have any experience with this ?
One more item, can I use BlueDevil head gasket sealer to seal any cracks in the engine block, or head gasket ?

kubota does not specify how to and why to adjust them. Thus, you have to have experience or know someone who does. It should be able to idle way down to 500 rpm before "cutting out". If it won't idle, check compression.

you can use whatever you want to bandaid a bigger problem.

Ok, thanks for responding, I spent 4 hours today trying to find a depiction of what is behind the plate that is on the flywheel side of the fuel pump and risers, and the idle adjustment mechanism is located (has a protective cap). I found some YouTube videos but about a different tractor, I would think the systems for a 1980s tractor governor would have similarities.
I don't want to fool with the springs and adjustable screws. I opened the governor plate and inspected the springs inside where the high RPM limiting mechanism is and it looked intact, (radiator side of the engine).
I did find documentation indicating that idle RPM should be 800 to 850, in a service manual online. The lowest RPM I could use before the engine cut out was 1000 RPM.

Could I use a oil treatment to help the engine out ? Can I use Bluedevil product to seal any cracks or problems with the head gasket ?

If the compression is too low then the engine will not idle ? Could it be the fuel pump ?
The main symptom is that it seems like it isn't getting fuel when below 1000 RPM.

I'm going to check the air filter compartment and filter, change the oil, and oil filter.
