I found a 36" for mine than can offset to one side or another. Most replies I have seen state that a 40-42" works great and some have ran a 48" at times.

I run a 48" on mine, with no ill effects. It has enough power to run it fine, and it lifts it fine. It is light in the front when it's up, but other than that, no issues. If you go with a narrower tiller, you will have to offset it.

I had a 50" Agric tiller behind my 7100. It handled it just fine.
I don't know if a 7100 would handle a King Kutter brand tiller or not but most any other brand it would probably work just fine. I say that about the KK because my brother had a 48" on his 7500 and had to use 4wd to even move after he set the tiller in the dirt and it loaded the engine pretty good as well.

I have a Kubota 36" tiller and a BEFCO 42" both work great behind my B7100. Before I got either of mine I used my brothers 48" with no problems. Make sure you have have a slip clutch or a shear pin setup. The person I bought my BEFCO from had replaced the slip clutch pto shaft with another that had no protection. When he caught a root he twisted the pto shaft.
