OK smart guys and gals, like I said I got my wheel spacers, NOW a friend and I were having a quiet adult beverage and discussing the world in general, and the air speed of laden swallows, and the weight of the tires came up. Now the R4's are 12-16.5 and just looking you know its going to be heavy, and it is filled,,soooooo.
I know the tire is about 75 pounds, and the bio ballast is about 145 so its about 220 lbs, now I want to know the total weight of the whole thing, but I cannot find the weight or the wheel by it self, I figure at least 50 pounds and that would put the whole thing under 300 pounds,, he said he figures it over 400. So does anybody really know the weight of just the steel wheel,,, there is a case of Guinness on the line here!

Which one? An African or an European?
[/QUOTE
First, we need to determine which bird to examine as best fits for those discussed. There is, in fact, a European swallow, but there is no swallow specifically named the African Swallow. However, there is a South African swallow and a West African swallow, which may be good fits when discussing an African swallow. However, there is almost no data recorded that can give us an indication of the airspeed of either type of African swallow. Rather than make blind guesses about African swallow, it may be better to look into the capabilities of the European, or Barn, swallow, for which there is.

I have some filled 13.6-16s on my b8200 and i would guess they are well over 300lbs. Enough to make me nervous thinking about dismounting them.

I'm no tractor trivia expert but when i try to think of the newest tractor ive seen with cast steel wheels i still come up with some pretty dang old stuff.. Is it more common than i realize? I feel like it is mostly 1950s and back!
