I found a 3 point PTO spreader in a barn on a buds sheep farm, he doesnt use it any more he has an 8 foot drop spreader. It looks to be a fair size and Im wondering how big can I go on my BX 2360? I donlt want to twist anything up putting something to big on my little tractor,, all I know is its BLUE so gawd only knows what it is,, he says it should fit though I might need some weight on the front,, but the price might be right,, Soooo how big can I go????

I'd say it would be a bad idea. Sounds like its a big ol'boy to begin with. My dad has one and if I remember correctly it can hold about 500lbs of seed or fert in the hopper. The broadcast spreader itself doesnt weight a whole lot but 500lbs on the ass end aint light either.

I have one that will hold about 150lbs of grass seed in it. I don't remember how much fertilizer it will hold but I used it on my B 7100 with no problem. If you know how much weight you tractor can handle safely with say a rottary cutter on the back then just keep that in mind when you start loading the spreader up and don't over do it.

Yeah I can agree with Bulldog. The one I have my dad puts it on his L275 with a FEL. I have no been brave enough to try it on my B6100. Just make sure you wear some kinda of dust mask or tie a bandanna around your face so you dont breath the dust in. Seed and fert goes flying far with a broadcast spreader.
