Help. My hour meter (on my B3200 purchased new in 2012) has stopped. I've no idea when. Absent minded to say the least.
Can it be repaired, replaced or by an independent timer....
Thanks in advance

It can probably be repaired by an independent instrument repair company at some expense greater than just replacing it with a generic meter like a Hobbs hour meter. Zoro has the round meter for approximately $26 and the rectangular for $23. Below are the wiring instructions. Just don't forget to turn off the key, or it will be racking up a lot of hours. You can Google Hobbs hour meter installation instructions if you need more help. Same for locating the meter itself.

I am unfamiliar with your machine, but if it is anything like the 2501, it is cable driven and easy to replace.

Mine broke at about 92 hours and they replaced it under warranty.

It's my opinion that on the 2501, they unnecessarily put a 'zip tie' on the cable, which in turn creates a sharp bend and that is where mine broke.

So when I got it back, I cut the "zip tie" to help alleviate the sharp bend problem.

So far, so good. (y) 🙏

Does your tach work? Like stated, check the cable and cable drive.

A B3200 is a slightly larger/older version of Ur 2501. Mine weighs 1700+/-100 and has the 4 cyl engine. It was new in 2012 and now has 1275 hrs. But I discovered yesterday the hour meter ain't runnin. The tach is but I believe that is electrical.. I'm going to check the "drive cable/speedometer" type cable.

If it is a cable driven meter, just put an electric one in it. They are cheap and reliable. You can even fit one that only counts when the engine is running. Not just key on.
