Had to bury one of my horses, dug hole with my b2150 a Testimonial to both the machine and Piranha Tooth Bar.

A couple years ago I had to do the same thing for one of our bigger donkeys. My L3200 did it with ease. I did it exactly the way you did.

It only took about 2 1/2 hours to dig and about an hour to bury. It was more difficult to get the ole boy in the hole than anything else. Vet performed an autopsy to confirm the cause of death and I had to be careful and not leave his insides everywhere. Not looking forward to the next one but I’ll probably go first.

boy do I remember red packed clay like that. didn't have a tractor back when had to bury my good ol boy Jake (yellow lab) in packed clay. 5 hours digging.... which was more of axing..... literally had to use an ax to break up ground.... then shovel that part out... rinse repeat every square foot... only inches in depth at a time.

The thing I found funny was when I disc it I pulled up so many rocks that I swore I would never do it again. In all that digging I only dug up 6 rocks about the size of a softball that was it. I still can’t believe what I ask of this little tractor but it continues to deliver ***128513;

Been there, did that many times. Glad we have enough acerage to spread them out... I toss in a couple bags of lime to speed the decomposition as well.

When a steer dies, we compost it above ground. Guy down the road a bit has a concrete bermed and lined Michigan approved composting facility. Deceased cattle go in there.

Good ole red Ga clay. Stuff has probably elicited more cuss words from folks that have to farm/dig it than anything else. Very impressive the B did that.

I have buried our dogs by hand and used the backhoe for the last one, but a horse is an order of magnitude larger. Good job there.

Central TX limestone is about 10” below the grass. (50M years ago was a sea-bed). I found success using a 12” auger drilling about 8 holes side-by-side then digging it out with the bucket.
