Hooked up my 6' cutter to the new tractor for the first time yesterday. I have a QH16 on the L3902. The QH16 got in the way.

Used a bungee cord to suspend the end of the drive line while I lined things up. Could have used a helper but had to figure out how to do it myself. Felt like a contortionist.

It was a bit of a challenge but I got 'er done. Success!!! :D

Pictures please!
Good idea! I posted pictures of the tractor last week but I do need to post some before and after pictures of my field behind the house. Going to rain in a little while so maybe this weekend. Won't be anything interesting but will mean something to me.

The first time I connected my rotary cutter's PTO shaft to my Kubota through the QH10 Quick Hitch, it took about 15 minutes. The second time required 3 minutes, and from then on it takes less than a minute. The key for me was to learn where to stand; I stand on the right side of the cutter deck (I am right handed) next to the PTO shaft. My guess is that you will have a similar learning curve.

Neighbour's sequence is
1) right lower arm
2) PTO shaft
3) left lower arm
4) top link

Once I got the bungee cord on it was just a matter of aligning the splines. I cheated and lubricated the neck out of things a couple nights earlier.

Yep, figuring out where to stand was key.

I'm sure things will get faster for a while.

I mowed for about 1 1/2 hours tonight. That thing mows like a dream!

Can hardly wait to get started again tomorrow. :D
