Hood removal

Have a l3800 how do you remove the hood?

Remove 2 bolts and one pin for the shock.

If my memory serves, you don't even have to take the hinge bolts out, just loosen them enough to allow the hood to come off the hinge pins.

Be sure to disconnect the headlight wiring first.

I did that but still will not move. Do you lift up on it or close it and pull forward. I must be having a brain freeze.

Yeah... I think once the bolts are backed halfway off, you just lift up on the hood and pull it forward and it comes off. Look at where the bolts are and you'll see the channel the pin slides through. The bolt just blocks it when tight.
