As I said earlier, I am seeing more and more of them in my area. I see them on my game camera at night, but never see them when I am hunting in the daytime. I was thinking of building a trap and I like your design. I was thinking of using a round hay bale feeder and welding cattle panels on the sides and top like you have. I could weld the trap door in place to some brackets also. That seems to be similar to your design. What do you use for a trigger? Could you post photos of your trigger and how you have it attached to your trap door? Thanks for your time.
Real simple, nothing fancy. Friction keeps everything in place. The hogs push on the trigger on the back of the trap and that pulls the bar that releases the door.

Okay, I see how you have it. Very simple and effective. Thanks for taking time to provide the photos.

Yeah I grew up on the street just north of Pointe-aux-chenes road, then when I got out the military I lived south of the town of Montegut near pump station road.

I did go to St Francis and Vanderbilt for a little while.

One of my favorite internet videos is Helihoggin, but i dont think they recover them for food.

A few years back someone attempted to open a game farm, they got out. So no licence was issued but a big game licence was required.

You got HOGS up there?? I figured the big shaggy dogs that run around would eat them all up

No license required if you are killing them and leaving them lay where they fall. If I recover them than I need a regular hunting license.
