I have this great gig at a local state park, grooming 13 miles of beaches. I kinda earned it I guess...spent 17 summers in one part of the park doing things that were less than glamorous (including cleaning public restrooms.) But...it's a great place to work in the summer (I am a full time teacher.) So last year my supervisor asked if I wanted to do the beaches and I jumped at the opportunity. I pulled the groomer (looks like an oversized lawn sweeper) with a 55 HP John Deere that the previous operator beat to hell.

Anyway one of my co-workers (works year round) send me a pic of my ride this summer...a brand spanking new Kubota M8560.:) This thing is sweet. Can't wait for summer!

Will do mickeyd. I see plenty of great sunrises, working 6-2. I took lots of pics last summer. My favorite though, was on Day 1, when I pulled up onto the beach at 6am, turned to the west, and saw the moon staring at me. I literally said out loud to myself "I think I'm gonna like this." :D

When we were on vacation in Mississippi last summer, we saw a guy grooming beaches and clearing sand off sidewalks with a cabbed M series tractor. Told my wife that would be my dream job :D:D:D

The Presq,, I remember way back in my youth a trip to the PX and 3 or 4 cases of PBR went with me the ex and a couple friends to the beach...... I wonder if there is still a repository with about 3 cases of empty can buried on the beach someplace... The exact location is kind of fuzzy, but then getting back to the Burgh was kind of fuzzy too,,,lol

Beautiful picture.

How much lake effect snow did you get this last time?
