I also had a conversation with some here about this. Very scary. You know, we are all concerned, but somewhat complacent, when it is happening to others, or in other parts of the world. But this really brings it home.

Be vigilant, whoever and wherever you are.

Its been coming for a long time. I am surprised it hasn't gotten here sooner. And sadly, it will get a lot worse.

Friend of mine belongs to a church here in Phoenix that posts two or three snipers on the roof of the church from an hour before services to sometime after the last Sunday school is over. Additionally, they have many selected parishioners armed at each service.

Gotta ask yourself: Do you feel safer than you did seven years ago?

Ray, there have always been places that have been havens of safety, churches, banks, schools, no longer.
And someplace along the way things changed.
Back in our day we walked to school, to band practice, rode our bikes all over, and hitched hiked too.
Then something happened in America or perhaps it changed all over the world, I don't know.
The world changed into a kinder gentler place ,and it has been down hill ever since.

No one is accountable for their own actions any longer.
Were the days of corporal punishment safer?
Were things safer when a person, understood that when you broke the law you paid a price that wasn't worth what ever you broke the law for in the first place!
The world seemed to be a more civil place back then.

Maybe I am stone age, as I have been called, but I don't believe that progress removes anyone from the 10 commandments.
No I am not a bible thumper here, just that they are 10 good rules to live by that are good for all men/women.

I find my self looking over my shoulder more often than I use to, watching people more closely, listening to things, and giving drivers a wider berth.
It has become a strange new world, and not one I am happy about handing down the the grand babies.

So ends this mornings lecture according to Saint Skeets,,,,

Amen to St. Skeets...

Things have absolutely changed and, not for the better. Funny how when society relaxes behavioral standards, things get really unruly and crazy.

In the 30s and 40's you could buy a Thompson submachine gun at the local hardware store. You never heard of mass shootings. Now with scores more gun laws, shootings are more common. Its not guns. Its society. Of course, to say that's not PC.

PC is the manifestation of ignorance. We are paying for that ignorance now.

Daniel Stiller says his office doesn't yet know anything about Samy Mohamed Hamzeh's case beyond a criminal complaint.

Something sounds a little fishy about that,, but then what do I know

But officer, it is not my fault that I was speeding. It is the refineries fault. If they produced crappier gas, my car would not be able to go that fast.

Just give then a little more time.
