Hello, I found a leak on my kubota b7200 hst 4wd at the brake lever on the brake housing on left side of tractor. I looked up parts and there appears to be a o-ring there. My question is, is it possible to pull the brake housing cover without draining the hydraulic fluid? And would there be other seals internally allowing the fluid to get in there? Any help would be appreciated! Thank you!

There are inner axle seals that prevent hydraulic oil getting into the brake shaft area. If it's leaking externally it's leaking internally into the brakes. Good news is the seals are not expensive and it's a pretty easy job.

Thanks for the response, I just got off the phone with messricks kubota parts and the parts person I spoke too wasn’t really able to come up with a part number: He said he was looking a different drawings and trying to piece them together but wasn’t 100 percent certain on correct part number: Any idea on a part number for the internal seal? Thanks again for the help

See attached image. I believe this may be the "internal" seal. However, I'd feel more confident if another member chimed in and confirmed first.

That's it. Brake drum goes on the splined end of shaft number 170. Remove the circlip on the end of the shaft and pull the brake drum off. The shaft seal is behind it. I have a badly leaking B7200DT and two new seals here as I type.

There is 2 O-rings on the brake pedal shaft.
And Yes there is a seal, you should also replace the sleeve that the seal rides on.

wash it all down with brake parts cleaner to get the oil off the shoe and drum.

2 O-rings 04811-05170
Seal 67401-14960
Sleeve 67401-14970

Thank you! You guy’s awesome! I have it ripped apart! Is there a trick to getting the seal and sleeve out? I have a workshop manual I just got from a buddy but it doesn’t really show that! Thanks for everyone’s help!

I use a hook tool to pop the seals out and pull the sleeve.
A small 90 degree bar might get behind the lip of the seal and pull it.
Other option is an old screw type dent puller or just a screw and pliers to pull the screw and seal.

Thank you wolf man! I did get the seal out pretty easily! Popped right out! I am a little hesitant on trying to get the sleeve out , if I grab onto with pliers or something and it doesn’t move, than I would probably mark up where the seal rides!
