help removing front electric clutch pack

I have both a 7100d and as of today a 5100d.

The 5100 needs a new front clutch for the mid mount mower.

How do you remove the old clutch? Is it reverse thead or is a puller the answer?

Need new clutch coil! Help!

I answered my own question: to remove the clutch, use a 6" gear puller. You can also pull the bearing with this, as well as the hub.

I see that I need a new coil. Does anyone know where to get this? It appears to be a US made a.c clutch, possibly York or Tecumseh, but there are no part nos on anything.

Same exact thing that the old 70-80's Ford AC systems used. My old B6000E had a clutch h quit and an old Ford AC clutch was a perfect match.....and cheaper.

Do you remember exactly what model and year Ford?

That would be useful.

I spent the day on the phone and might have found the original mfr. Kubota no longer supports this part, which makes my new acquistion a small orange garden gnome... Its 300.00 if they have it, but nobody has it. In any case, I only need a new coil.

Kahuna: Thats interesting as can be since I spent the whole day on the phone with MEssicks. They could not find a part number for the coil and said the clutch was unobtainable.

I'm ordering from your part number tonight and well see if it works. Boy I hope so.
