Greetings all,

After searching for an affordable skidsteer, I luckily decided the B7100 Kubota was a better bet for my purposes. Last Saturday morning, a one owner B7001 showed up on CL literally as I was doing my first serious search. Within an hour my 9 year old son and I were loaded and underway for a three hour drive to Yakima, Washington to pick-up our first tractor.

Then, as luck would have it, two days ago a BT750 backhoe showed up on CL, VERY reasonably priced because it's missing it's spool valve. No time was wasted making another two hour road trip to pick-up the attachment.

At this point I have determined that what I need to find is a top link bracket from a B20. Please contact me if you have one to sell.

Thanks much for any help.

New spools at 2000 or second hand if you can find them. Ring some tractor part recylers.Aftermarket 6 stick from ~ 250, joystick type from ~ 390, probably cheaper if you look hard. Depends on how much money you want to spend. I learnt on a MF 6 stick(4 way) and it works just the same, 2 stick is not necessary. Somewhere it was mentioned there were some cheap old stock kubota valves going on the net but I didn't see them.
Someone with a 21 will shoot you some pics of the mount , shouldn't be that hard to make something up. Realistically just an open hinge with locking pins or wedges at top of cradle should suffice I expect. Will need to be strong though. Good luck!

Thanks for your reply. Since, this posting, I went out and bought a B2150, which looks like a whole lot better fit for the backhoe than the little B7100. Now that I've got a tractor with an actual subframe, I don't think the mount will be too tough to fabricate.

I'd sure like to hear about any used spool valves, if someone knows where I can find one.

You do know that a B7001 and a B7100 are not the exact same tractor, and you can not just interchange the two as the same tractor.

Could have been a typo as his equipment shows B7100, maybe he'll move it on now he has a B2150 to shove the hoe on.

Thanks for the replies. The entire linkage is still present on this backhoe, so it would be nice to have an original type valve block if I can find something that fits in a reasonable timeframe.

Otherwise the first valve 100td mentioned on eBay looks like a real viable option, and the price is right.

North Idaho Wolfman: Thanks, it's actually a Zen-noh B7001, but I have referred to it as a B7100 here and elsewhere. I was under the impression it was mechanically the same tractor in every respect, only the markings, and rim size being different?

Anyway 100td is correct, I bought a B2150 for the backhoe (and more recently a B6000 with a tiller and front blade), so the B7001 is going to be someone else's tractor soon.
