Hello, New to the site , I picked up a 1990 b2150dt with loader last month and have been going over things on this unit changed oil ,fluids ect , looking to replace the hydraulic filter , my local dealer has one for 40 bucks to me that's rather much. I was looking to see if anyone knows how to cross this filter over to another brand ,or may have other brand numbers to check .I have been trying to cross this filter over for a week and no luck thanks for any help you can give in advance.

You can try a NAPA store if there is one locally. I think you can find one too on their website. Also, try Messicks. They have parts and such that most of the time are cheaper than the local Kubota dealers.

B2150DT, welcome to the forum!

I've worked on Kubota's for over 8yrs and serviced hundreds of machines. I personally have a B9200 (predecessor to the B2150) and I found that an AFTERMARKET Napa filter on my machine collapsed internally!!!!!!! Buy your filters online and ONLY use Kubota filters!

You have purchased something that cost several thousand dollars and will last you literally your lifetime if properly maintained (unlike a car or truck). Spend the few extra bucks for the OEM quality filters. One note, I can get my kubota filters online CHEAPER than what Napa wants for their similar filter...which is far inferior.

Keep in mind you should be changing your oil and filters approx every 100 hrs. you can get a LOT of work done in 100 machine hours....and will be well worth the $50 in filters and another $20-30 in fluids.

If you really want to use an aftermarket brand, I recommend Baldwin. Usually found at ag Co-ops, heavy truck parts houses in larger cities, or online. Their line is extensive. Don't know that I've ever seen them at automotive chain parts houses.

Find them online and call their Tech line and they'll provide the cross-match to Kubota or other.

I stay with the name brand (Toyota, Honda, Kubota, Kawasaki) filter during warranty periods then switch to Baldwin. Peace of mind if it ever comes down to a contest with the machine manufacturer.

Please post back and advise your experiences so we may all learn.

Thanks guys , You all have valid points. Billdog your point is good, I spent 6 grand on this no need to risk damage over a cheap part I did find one from golden eagle direct. thanks North Idaho Wolfman. Filter was cheaper than dealer cost and a oem part sent to my door. Filter has been ordered and on the way soon. Also thanks to the rest of you for your help. Now I can get it back to work again.
