Kubota L1802, lost 2 ranges of speed. gear broken

Hello

I own a L1802DT. This tractor have 4 ranges on transmission with 4 foward + 1 reverse speeds for each range.

Today, I release clutch but forgot to disangage parking brake. I was on range 2, speed 2. I feel a very light TOC and I lost first and seconde range. Tractor works good on range 3 and 4.

I'm a little bit afraid because it is a grey market tractor and I read somes places that the most difficult (almost impossible) parts to find are transmission parts.

Any advice about that?
Someone had this problem before?
What verification can I make?

Thanks

Before using tractor again, remove shifter cover and look inside.gears shredded or a shaft may have sheared. By running it you could cause more damage. I guessing it require total disassembly.

Had same thing happen on my L2202. Does yours have the main tranny shifter in the normal spot, and an auxiliary shifter, on the left hand fender? If so, it (the linkage) might be jammed in the sheet metal, behind your left knee...:D

Bad news. I open the top of transmission with a friend and find bad news. A gear is broken (rear bottom).

I bought this tractor 3 months ago from a dealer. See rust on gear and mark on teeths.

Just call my seller. He suppose to be able to find parts... I hope.

My friend and me will uncoupling transmission and I will bring it to dealer for repair. I'm in a remote area and far from dealer. My friend is a mecanic but never works on Kubota before. How long to dismantele transmission and rebuilt tractor after?

Thanks Tooljunkie and Diydave

After breakdown, I just put it on trail and shut off.

Yes, my tractor have auxiliary shifter (range selector) on left fender

Well at least you found it. Hope you find replacement part without too much trouble. Also try sending service dept vic a message, he may have some insight on your part.

Don't worry. My tractor is Orange. My crazy phone change color on the picture and I'm not able to correct that.

I hope that my mecanic will be able to fully reassemble it in a top notch state.

I'm a little bit worry for the futur. I will allways fear another breaking.

Ahhh, the old dog ate my homework excuse. :p:D

I am not a mechanic but can turn a wrench. I split my tractor and put it back together again with advice from the very helpful people on OTT. Your mechanic should not have a problem reassembling it.

All machinery breaks sooner or later, it is the nature of the beast. Regular servicing is your best friend.

Good luck and enjoy your tractor don't fear it.:)

I dove into my tranny a while ago, it was much worse than your, It's been several hundred hours of hard work later in the heat of summer to the cold of winter and all is well, so I wouldn't worry about it.;)

Last Update:
My seller (Kioti dealer) easily find a used gear for my transmission and replace it at no cost. They gave me a new clutch, pressure plate and bearing because I found some wear on it. They also paid for dismantling. It's more than I want.

I'm really happy and certainly do business another time with them. They are in Sherbrooke area, so far from my house, but I'm in confidencce with them.
