Howdy all, about to install my block heater and before trying to get the freeze plug out I wanted to double check my adapter size. It sure seems super tight and I just wanted to double check before draining the system. The adapter appears to be 1.25 inches. Can anybody confirm the freeze plug port is 1.25 and not 1.125 like it sorts feels like?

Attached is s picture of the port I'm going for. Left side of the engine.

Thanks on advance.
Ben

You need to be absolutely certain that your B7100 uses a frost plug style block heater.
See this following link for the style that is more commonly found on Kubota engines. It claims to be for M & B 3, 4 & 5 cylinder engines.

Not only is the size of the frost plug a concern but also whether there is space in the block for the heater element.

I would go to the dealer and ask him to show you a heater for your tractor and although you may find his price high at least you would know what style you need.

The dealer (multiple dealers, really) had no idea what heater to use. Every part number was discontinued. The part number I got was from NIW here.
As far as if it will fit, there's a heater and an adapter. The element of the heater doesn't extend into the block past the adapter, so no problem there. I just want to be sure I got the right adapter.

I would go down to local auto parts store and buy a 1.125" and a 1.250" plug then see which is the closest fit.

However, are you sure it's 1.xxx" and not 2.xxx"? A one inch plug is pretty small. I don't think I've ever seen one that small.

I'm sure it's 1.XXX. It's only a 16 horse engine.
