I just thought I'd stop by & introduce myself..
I'm "the pump guy sc" I call South Carolina my home & I rebuild diesel injection pumps for a living.. I have for the last 30+ years..
Feel free to ask me anything pump/fuel related..
or you can contact me at my screen name & put a o l dot com after it..
I can walk "some people" thru a fix.. while others struggle & make a simple situation worse..{and expensive}
While I don't recommend non-experienced hands taking a pump apart.. some come apart easier than others..
So feel free to ask away..
I'll be hanging out in the "repair section" mostly..
Happy Tractoring...

Welcome to the OTT forum. We are glad that you joined and with great knowledge also.

Where in SC are you located? Columbia?

I was stationed at Shaw AFB in Sunter back in the 70s and my wife worked in Florence.

MickeyD.. I'm between Columbia & Charleston..on beautiful Lake Marion. A small town outside of Santee.
When I'm not fixing pumps, I'm catfishing or striper fishing.. My personal best catfish is a 73lb'r.!!! THATS a lot of meat.!! Lol

That is a lot of meat.

I know where that is. In fact, my first visit to Santee was in the early 60s.

When I was there, I was too busy to get out fishing much but when I was stationed in Alaska, I did it all. Went Salmon, Halibut and Sea Bass fishing. Went bear, both Black and Brown, and Moose hunting. When I went Brown Bear hunting, I always went with a bow hunter since it was safer.
