Name is Mark,
I've decided that I need a CUT, currently we own a ford Jubilee (our first tractor) without a loader that we use at our cabin to plow snow with a back blade, which only works for small amounts of snow and up here in the North Cascade mountains we can get a lot of snow, but at the time the price was right and the tractor did it's job. We want to do more work around the cabin (5 acres total about 4 are tree's and brush) and at home that the old ford will just not do, so after looking at the green and orange tractors I've decided the B2650 seems like the right machine, the JD 3 series are just a little big and seem like a lot more money than the B series for pretty much what I want. My first thought was to get the B3350 but after reading about the DPF problems just don't want to mess with that problem seeing how the majority of the work the tractor will see is at the cabin 120 miles from the nearest Kubota dealer. So what do I want the tractor to do, It will be used to plow our road in the winter (may get a 3 pt blower to move snow when we get a foot or more over night) we have a 50x50 garden and I plant a food plot for the deer so will be getting a small (48-50") tiller, we also want to clear out all the blow downs and old brush in the wooded area. As for price I built a 2650 on the kubota site with QA loader, 72" blade with Hyd, 3rd function, spill guard, ballast box, tele lower link kit and work light. total of $24,896, i've read here where you can expect anywhere from 10-15% off that price, the 2 quotes I've gotten have taken the 1% or so off price of the tractor but all the added things (loader, blade) are priced at the web page pricing. Can I work on those prices? Any and all suggestions greatly appreciated, Thank you Mark.

(Lot of good info on this site also, glad I found it)

Welcome to OTT, sounds like you have the right setup. Sounds like your dealer isn't thinking you are serious, try offering them 15% off the web config and tell them you want to get to using the tractor. Good luck and the Orange will be the way to go!

The demand is greater so the prices in the northwest are higher than in the south, mid and east.
You can always try and get it for less, but most just won't budge for full price. :(

And a B, is a SCUT (Sub Compact Utility Tractor) The L's are CUT's. ;)

Mark,
We just brought a new BX1870 home last week after visiting with most of the Kubota dealers in the Pacific Northwest over a few months. I sent you a PM with information on the dealership we chose. You are closer to them than we are! Best of luck, enjoy the journey.

Always nice to get a deal, they aren't cheap. I was treated well and with the trade I had it made a difference to stay close to home. I am bummed thought I would get to use the blower one more time...no snow as I am on the north side of the cities.

Mark,

Even if you dont get a "deal" or even if you pay a little more than us folks east and south, I will assure you - the machine will do things that you cannot imagine. AND only after you have a couple dozen hours on the tractor, you'll start to see what it can do, and other things that you never thought YOU would end up doing!:)

I wish I had bought mine 7 years ago.......my sore back and legs would have loved me rather than hate me!:D:)

IF you are financing it - get all you can get at that zero % - it will pay itself off sooner than you think!:)

Welcome, I'm a new BX owner, just picked up on Monday. I found that the dealership was about 10% less on everything compared to the website. That was a nice relief to the wife. On my first trip to our hunting property, about 70 mi from home, I was pleasantly surprised by the speed at which i could cut the grass.

I ordered a 4' box blade and a 4' bush hog, still waiting for the dealer to get them in :(.

I originally wanted to get a B series tractor, but after going to the dealership and getting to sit on the tractors and get a feel for it, the wife was not comfortable on them, but said she was fine on the BX. Considering she helps mow and do maintenance on our home and hunting property I wanted something she wouldn't mind using.

As our needs evolve we'll probably add an L series tractor in a couple of years. All in all, going to the dealer and talking to them about the functionality and uses of the tractors help us make our decision.

Now the fun part comes, what to mod :)

BXPANDED!!!! piranha bar, get some bolt on chain hooks or clevis or both. get HST shields from Bxpanded. if you have the need, LED lighting, get yourself a battery tender and hookup to keep the battery going good for a long long time. I'm sure I'm missing something. but good luck either way. BX is a very popular and reliable tool/toy

Yes, been there and a few other websites. The problem is having enough $$ for all the mods I want (need).

Well I came to an agreement on the price with the dealer, just need to sign the paperwork so he can order the tractor (he does not have a B2650 on hand) should know how long the wait will be tomorrow.
