How many of us have suffered with dull cloudy looking head lights on our vehicles? I no I sure have. I have noticed a sign at my local that says they can fix them in 30 minutes for about $40.

No need for that route any more and you can keep some $$ in your pocket as well.

I saw a add from Harbor Freight Tools advertising a head light repair kit for $9.99. I printed a coupon off their web sales add for this product $7.99. I bought one yesterday and tried it out this morning. My lens were so dull that the bulb couldn't be seen thru them. They are not as clear as glass now but I can tell a major difference in them. Pretty cool.

The kit comes with more than enough for 2 head lights.
2 sanding pads
1 polishing pad
1 bottle of polish paste
1 back plate

All you need is a drill, a spray bottle of water and some paper towels.

3 minutes of sanding each, 3 minutes of polishing each. Rince and wipe clean. The job is done. It's that easy.

Thanks for the info - sounds like I need to make a trip Harbor Freight - I could use the polishing kit on my wife's car.

We use those kits at work but the 3M version. It costs more but it is like brand new when completed.

We haven't tried the harbor freight ones yet. One of our trucks that is going out of service would be a good ginney pig. :D :D :D

I have used a couple of different kits - bought from Auto Zone & O'Rielleys. I liked the 3M kit the best. I would guess the kits are available in most auto parts stores.

I have a Jeep Cherokee POS and the plastic lenses are so bad I can ride around with high beams and nobody notices. I'll have to check that stuff out.

Thanks Bulldog!

I wish I would have thought to take some before and after pics to show the difference.

Mine didn't turn out clear as glass but it made a very noticable difference. I drove it at night for the first time tonight and was pleased.

The best way I can describe the difference it made is this. It's about the same as going from a standard head light bulb over to a Silver Star bulb. Whiter and brighter.
