Picked up a HF QH and am having a devil of a time hooking up my Land Pride 1548 BoxBlade. Seems like the center hook doesn't stick out enough to engage the pin on the BB. Any suggestions!

There are several modifications that you can make to the top hook to make it work better, and there are several post on here regarding that mod.;)

After some adjustments on the implements, getting the approprate bushings, and changing out the bolts on the top hook for pins, my Land Pride 1548 BB, Country Line 5 foot scraper blade, and Country Line cargo frame all work with the HF Quick Hitch. I still might look into the top link adaptor though. Thanks for the help!

Looks like I'll have a chance to play with a HFQH. Just picked one up for $78 thanks to a Discover Card 25% off that they applied to the sale price. Getting away for $78.74 was pretty decent!

That Discover Card didnt really give you a discount. It looks like it on paper but the vendor who swipes the card isn't going to take that kinda loss on merchandise. Costs alot to use a credit card to begin with. Your 25% off looks right now, but Harbor Fright will get that money back.

NOBODY gives away FREE money, its hidden in the back end.

Its a great sales gimmick to get you to use a Discover Card.

So i use my discover card and get a 25% discount on my purchase over someone who pays cash or uses a different credit card and then get to use the product for up to 30 days for free before paying for it and I'm getting screwed ??? please do explain. I also get another 2% cashback bonus when i pay my bill on time.

I got mine to work on all my implements without the adaptor, with the Land Pride 1548 BB taking the most adjustment. Good luck.
Once everything is set up its all gravy after that.
Welcome to the forum, I'm about 50 miles downhill from you in Md.

I don't know who is going to eat what, except for one party. Me. I'm not going to pay more than the $78.74 I already paid with the Discover Card. If there's a difference to make up it will be between Discover, Harbor Freight and someone who doesn't use discount coupons.

When the statement comes, it will have a charge listed that matches the amount I spent at HF. I'll pay Discover on time and there will be no interest or extra charges.

Some stores in our areas give discounts that can be used on gasoline or diesel at local stations. One store gives 10 cents per gallon discount for every $50 spent in a 24 hour period in the store and 10 cents per gallon on any prescription refill (regardless of price). Pretty much everything in the store qualifies toward the 50 bucks. We eat at Olive Garden, Red Lobster, Applebees and Subway quite a bit, so we buy ourselves gift certificates to use there. A $25 gift card costs $25. Buying two of them gives us 10 cents off on up to 20 gallons of gas.

Another store has a 30 gallon max on the discounted gas (or diesel). We just filled the car there this afternoon. Met Wifey there and since the gas purchase needs to be in one shot - took four 5-gallon cans along. The cost per gallon was $1.20 less than the price shown on the pump. It all adds up. Then there are reward points on the CC for buying the gift cards.

If you understand the rules, you can play and win.

My wife spends all our cahback rewards on food cards, $40 to 45 for a $50 gift card.
I have most of my monthly bills on my discover, Writing one check is a lot easir then several.

As to the center hook problem. That hook isn't much used by me. I usually take a section of steel plate connecting link maybe 3" wide by 6 inches long by 1/2" thick and drill holes in it for 1/2" bolts. Then I use what ever holes in the hitch to match the height of the tool. A whole lot easier than fooling with the hook. I've used pieces of pipe as well. Not much force is usually carried by that connection.

How do you convert a Class 2 three point mower to a Class 1 3-point hitch? Is there a good place to get bushings for the mower that will allow smaller diameter bolts?

Or, would a quick hitch like this one be a better option?

You could go with a Quick hitch although it's still going to be sloppy.
There are no Bushings to go from a class 2 to a class 1, 3 point, you would have to change out the pins on the mower to make it work right.

the bottom hooks on the quich hitches will be a pretty decent fit on your class 2 pins but if your mower is a true class 2 width may be a issue.
You should be able to put class 1 pins in there with bushing. Most of your tractor stores should have bushings.
