Added a lever hand control to the foot peddle for the M59 backhoe. Also modified the peddle to fit my foot better. All to give better control and dexterity for chores like stacking stones.
Retained the OEM feature the pedal can be hinged up to lock peddle and lever in place and also disconnect from valve.

I've been looking for an electric solenoid valve so I can use push buttons on my joystick similar to the loader remotes. My cab makes it tight for my workboots as is, adding mechanical linkage would mean hand control only.

Not much foot room on open station either.

The remote valves for the 3rd function are big for 16gpm flow the same for the thumb I think. Might be enough room between the control tower and boom?

The hand lever was the easiest part. Easy reach with the other controls without bending. Used a 3/8” black steel hold down coupler nut to weld the pedal block. Stronger and weld friendly. 3/8” SS tube, 1/8” wall for lever. Welded 3/8” bolts to the ends. Plastic ball handles from Amazon 3/$6.
Decades of using a four lever backhoe makes for easy use. Using hand control to grip and toe to release seems very intuitive. Still learning technique and my dance partner likes that I’m not stomping on her as much.

Your M59 is essentially bigger and newer than my L48, but from the pix I can't quite visualize the complete setup.
The orange claw hammer head really throws a wrench into the total equation.

When I bought the BT1200 separate it was missing the swing lock pin. Scraped together the hammer, tubing and 1” bolt to make a pin. In it’s holder.
