OK today the Lodge had our annual sporting clay shoot,,, I shoot an old Remington LT20,,,,, yes I know I'm under gunned,,, Anyway about half way through the course, it wouldn't cycle for the second round, it would eject but not cycle the new round up.... Now I am wondering, if the "O" ring for the gas rube might be shot, I have never had a problem with it before and like I said I have been shooting her for over 30 years,, Any Ideas?

Don't know much about the LT models, but guess it's a lightweight 1100? Bought my 1100 back in the early 70's and never had a lick of trouble. Have you broken her down and cleaned all the parts? I think my o ring is steel, is yours the newer rubber/synthetic one? I hear the newer ones have to be replaced occasionally.

The gas seals need to be replaced occasionally. They are very easy to replace and Brownells will have the parts. Fairly inexpensive.

Also try over/under shotgun no o-rings to maintain. O wait no grouse in Pennsylvania, no need for a gentleman's gun, a shooter shotgun will work fine.

Nope no grouse around here anyway,, However one of the guys shooting in the team behind us let me shoot his Browning O/U ported 30 inch barrels sporting clay choke tubes adjustable comb and HIGH rib,,, the gun was magic ,,MAGIC ,, I tell you,, it broke everything I shot at I have never run a station with 3 true doubles before. A truly beautiful firearm, I even offered to trade my HD for it,, he said no thank you,, and then I asked if when he died could I have it, his son said NO !!! lol
I think I may have figured the problem out. The lift plate had a noticeable wear spot in it, and the rim of the case was catching,, I found this after 4 hours of pulling out what little hair I have left. A small file and stone and 1000 grit paper smoothed it out,, took her out and ran 3 rounds through it no problem. I think I may have awaken the neighbors but I really don't care I don't like them and they don't like me so it evens out,,,lol

Good to hear you solved your problem....any return fire from the neighbors? :D
When I was growing up no one could afford an o/u except the rich plantation owners or other dignitaries. Always wanted one. A few years back I ran across a Stoeger Condor o/u nearly new for $300 (12 ga with 3" chamber and screw in chokes). Best money I've spent on a gun in a while. I'm sure it doesn't come close to one of the Browning's, etc, but the balance and feel are very nice. Shot some skeet with my neighbor and surprised myself!

I wish some of that magic was in my Browning O/U target gun. Some of it is in my field gun, or maybe I am just more focused when I hear a grouse go. We don't worry about the neighbors making gun noise around here, I think the Army National Guard base in Crawford County is the largest NG base in the east. It includes a target range for helicopters and the Air Guard so between bombs rockets and artillery nobody notices a rifle of shotgun. I don't think our gun club has ever had a complaint.
