B3200 w/loader, Woods RC5 brush hog, 4' box blade, tooth bar, B1700 MMM,
Went to mow this afternoon and the old B1700 wouldn’t start. Just 2 lights and no crank. Found info on OTT about another B1700 with start issues and went through the checklist you guys made up along with referencing the starting circuitry. Went through all the fuses, verified the kill switches all working and had to adjust the clutch switch a few turns. In the end my battery was toast, 9.2v disconnected and 10v connected. Hit Rural King and picked up a new sealed battery. 12.4v off the shelf. Popped it in and she started right up. After 2 hrs mowing the battery was at 13.1 so the dynamo is working. Belt was a bit loose so I tightened it up and had my local dealer order me up a new one. This one looks original. It was good to find where all this stuff was under the covers, clean up the old girl a bit and hear her purr. Thanks to everyone for their detailed troubleshooting tips and sharing knowledge
