Grease zerk fitting getting stuck???

I finally broke down and purchased a 14.1 grease gun to prevent changing the tubes constantly. 319 reviews on Amazon 4.7 stars so I assume folks love it.

It pumps great but it keeps getting stuck on the zerk. And I mean stuck! In fact I pulled a zerk off my Jake's lift kit on the cart.

Am I doing something wrong? Never had this issue with the little grease gun. Watched videos about releasing pressure, but I don't want to take the thing apart every time I grease a zerk.

Tips? Tricks?

Most couplings can be adjusted to alter the zerk hold-on force by rotating. Loosen the end slightly and see if that helps.

+1. Every coupler I've ever used, the front part will be knurled and you can loosen the knurled end to release the grip on the zerk I eave mine loose and if the fitting spews grease when greasing, tighten it a bit.

If you don't like adjusting the coupler, buy a "lock n lube" tip for your greese gun.
