Grease guns that don't leak?

I hate dealing with hot weather and grease guns since they all seem to leak the oil that gets separated out of the grease due to heat and get all over the place and makes the grease gun and hose slippery.

Is there such a thing as a grease gun that doesn't leak; if so which one?

Thanks

The only grease gun that doesn't leak in hot weather is the one that lives in an air-conditioned environment.

I love the grease fittings and tools made by Lock-N-Lube. Their locking couplers work and come in two (2) lengths. They also make a similar tool for inflating tires, which lock on the Schrader valve stem. I posting here to point out they also make quality grease guns and accessories as well as a bulk grease gun that is a heavy duty container that you load up with 2 gallons of grease. It is foot operated and has a ten (10) foot hose. The foot lever can be lifted to release the 10,000 psi pressure so you don't leave grease behind when you disconnect. I grease often and this cuts my time in half easily. I've been using it for about three (3) years and still love it. No leaks. It works. It is expensive, about $250.00, but making greasing fast and easy is well worth the money for me.

I have four grease guns (all good quality units) and ALL of them leak when the temperature in the shop gets really high. Well sometimes I have JD Cornhead grease in one....and it doesn't leak.

I have found it is all how you load and store the gun.
Toss a tube in all haphazardly and grease is everywhere, or randomly toss gun around and it’s everywhere. I am sorta OCD when it comes to loading and storing; always wipe down after loading, last pump on machine, handle is always rubber banded to barrel, tip is always locked on top of gun. Then it is hung on a screw above bench.
I have a lock and lube gun at work, with their rubber boot on the end. I thought the same as you, hot shop and it will leak. Past 4 years that boot still doesn’t have a drop in it. Lol.

I'm sold on my Lube Shuttle grease guns. And Lock N Lube end points.

Grease is kinda like anti-seize for bolts. It manages to get everywhere it isn't supposed to be.

I think it's more a factor of the actual grease than the gun. The guns don't seem to hold back the oil that separates out of the grease and it leaks out all over. The actual grease stays put

I have a concealed carry permit for my grease gun, so if it leaks, it is no longer concealed, and it becomes an open carry problem for me when I walk into Walmart with oil dripping from my pant leg. I get the strangest looks from some of the women shoppers.

I just keep mine wrapped in an old rag. It soaks up the leaks pretty well.

Be very careful with how you store those oily rags.
Drove into my garage one day to find box with old oily rags smoldering.
Spontaneous combustion!
Who woulda thunk it?

My father in law did the same in his garage. I smelled the smoke and went out to the garage to find it smoldering. After that he always kept his rags in a small metal garbage can. When I had my shop we had a red pail that you stepped on the foot pedal and the top opened to keep the rags in.

Yeah - I'm not inclined to keep boxes of oily rags around. A single layer of rag wrapped around a grease gun isn't a hazard...
