Grass seed prices: Yikes

Went to the feed store today and priced grass seed.
Standard Blend Pasture grass $108.00 50lbs.
Premium Blend Pasture grass $158.00 50 lbs.

unfortunately, in wooded NJ, no amount of chickens or opossums will reduce the ticks by a significant number to lessen the risks to people and dogs on our property.

For the dogs we have had very good luck with Soresto collars. They are expensive but last 8 months. Have not seen a flea or tick on the three dogs that regularly run free on 5 acres in Central Texas.
