Few more adjustments...
T1600 mower
Modified RC44 deck from a G4200 relocated rear mounts from a junk RC44LT
Modified catcher from a T1400 with Cub Cadet bags (The old bags were toast)

I have to come up with a longer discharge tube and adapt the front clip for a hold on the deck but so far so good. I chose the RC44 deck from the G4200 because of the smaller pulleys for slightly higher blade speed.
Also started replacing the batteries in my small mowers with used Concord RG-25XC batteries from work. Starting is much better and almost zero maintenance on them. Starts the 5200 and the 1600 just fine and being take outs so they were also free.
All experiments due to I was bored.

These catcher parts were otherwise just setting in the basement about to be tossed out. Figured I'd try something with them. It's dirty like most things but it works.

With heavy pollen right now I know it's spring. I got off the mower and I was yellow from the nostrils down.

It is no wonder that they work so well! " Platinum Series Sealed Lead Acid Aircraft Battery RG-25XC has the highest cranking power and capacity in the 25 Group. ‎$418.00" (y)

They can last 8 years (or longer) in an aircraft, mine are used about 3 to 5 years and the owner has a flight school. No time for slow starts. The capacity is awesome compared to standard batteries.

Will they be converting to AGM batteries in the future? I have an AGM in my 1962 Chevrolet and it can sit idle for months and still start when I get into it. I wish that I could get a few of those aircraft batteries for my generator that doesn't get much use once the cold weather is gone. I have a "Genius" battery maintainer on it 100% of the time, so it will also start if needed.

This one is AGM separaters (only described on the battery label) but many other batteries are now going L-ion as well. Aircraft batteries have come a long way. I'll take the half used take outs all day if they fit what I need.
