l3560 hst-le I am looking at a 48" grapple to use occasionally around the house is this big enough or do I need a bigger one say a 60" let me know

Or a bit narrower because what you grab will most always extend past your width of tires.
Personally, since I have a smaller frame, I like smaller grapples... I do pick up very large and very heavy trees and rocks...

It sounds like the smaller one will work for you, so why pay for a wider one ? Also the smaller one weighs less, so you could grapple a heavier load.
The key word though is 'occasionally'. You're not using it for a business, time isn't a big deal, if you make 3 trips or 4 isn't a real factor. Also a narrower grapple will be easier to store.

For the size of the tractor you have I would get either the EA wicked 55 or if you want something more heavy duty (but also costs a bunch more) the Wicked 60 or 66. I have a smaller tractor than yours LX2610 and have the Wicked 55. Why EA 2 reasons.... Price is on par with the cost of a LandPride one but it has 2 advantages over LP. 1). the lids are serrated to better grip the trees or logs. 2) the steel is better Hardox 450 instead of 400.

I may well do a bucket grapple like that when I move to a bigger machine. Which I need to do. I change between bucket and grapple a lot. Seems like I always have the wrong one attached. Then it's virtually guaranteed I left the one I want a mile away on the other side of the property. Might keep both around, but the "handy as a thumb" saying exists for a reason. Having a thumb/grapple on your bucket opens up a new world.
You don't say which loader you have. I think there are 2, with a difference of 500 lbs lift?
Anyway, you may want to look at 54/ 55 inch versions. Even a 60 maybe. If it's the single lid root rake grapple, they are fairly light. Dual lid root grapples get heavier.

Dont get a grapple that weighs too much try and target around 400ish lbs or your lift capacity suffers.

I have a Land Pride Claw grapple; it weighs less than 200 lbs. I have used it for over 2 years for moving: logs, rocks, boards/posts/metal roof sheets from an old building that I tore down and telephone poles. The grapple has done everything that I have asked of it, and it is more than strong enough to grip anything my FEL can lift. My grapple shows no wear other than some missing paint from lifting large rocks, and all of the teeth are straight.
Do not get pulled into the buy the toughest grapple argument. Having an extra tough grapple does not make your FEL or hydraulic system stronger. It is a grapple on a compact tractor; it is not a commercial duty grapple on a track loader.
Personal taste - I like the smooth claw design. You are mostly holding objects/materials with pressure (you are only in contact with the perimeter of the load - think of a load of branches or smaller logs), and the smooth surface allows rocks to slide into the grapple as you close it (versus binding on serrations). YMMV.

My theory is to go as wide as the front tires...push roots/brush out of the way instead of driving on it.
Get the lightest grapple you can with the best construction. I'd take 1/4" AR400 tines over 1/2" mild steel. Every fitting should be greasable and locked into place not snap rings or hair pins anywhere. Don't buy based on pics posted on the internet, see the grapple in person.
