Looks nice. It appears the horizontal angle welded at an angle forces the grapple to pretty much lock in place.

I might consider a gusset or external support of some kind on the outside of the upright channels to the front corner of the trailer. If those uprights would ever deflect just a bit it may allow one side of the grapple to get loose, even with the round pieces welded on. That could be a mess!

Careful as DOT laws still require you to physically tie down any implement with a rated strap of chain.

Well done Sir! Do you notice any difference with the ride with that weight being forward?

I’ve needed my Grapple helping out a few friends, but mostly needed the backhoe and loader bucket. That’s a nice set up to have the grapple mounted on the trailer, but it’s really easy to have the Grapple mounted on the tractor, and pick up my bucket in the Grapple and load the tractor as normal. It does not take up any extra room, as they nest together, and it’s quick and easy to move around, and unload. I have an older BX (2014) with the QD front system, so it literally takes 1 minute to switch back and forth from the bucket to Grapple. This way I don’t have to make any additional mounts on the trailer, as I use it for hauling vehicles, lumber etc.

ah ha thank you! The Sport Haven AUT716TD Utility Trailer is one of the ones I was considering, and comparing it to similar Aluma.
