Grand L70 series

I was looking on Kubota's website and seen the Grand L 70 series, but I haven't seen any info on them yet. Anyone seen one in the wild?

All the information on the webpage references the Grand L 60s. Guessing someone made a mistake and released the title, but didn't update the page.

Now when you go to the Kubota website and click on the 70 series, you get webpage not found error. So, I'm guessing in the Kubota Connect event that they will be announcing the new model.

Saw a video this evening and the Grand L 70 came up. Supposed to be a dealer meeting in early October and maybe tractors available by Christmas.

Any progress on your L3560 at the dealer @BBFarmer?

Kubota made some really nice upgrades to the new GrandL - I need to start working on the finance committee on upgrading my LX.

Some really nice and functional upgrades for sure. The front and rear camera options that are integrated into the center console display are very nice, along with all of the controls in the joystick. I'm not loving the look of the L70 tractors compared to the current L60 models but it might grow on me.

Hopefully Neil Messick will come out with an in depth L70 video soon.

First look was "who blowed up da cab? But after a couple minutes it was more appealing. Aux lighting under the loader arms kind of nice. "10" series loaders look like they have flaps over storage tubes in the arms. With the minimal framework for glass, visibility looks great (and expensive to replace). The Escalade tail lights, remote start and camera options are a cute touch. To get the H-DS trans and some other goodies means going with the Premium rather than the Deluxe.

Yep, that L70 Premium is an awesome tractor, but the M6-142-2 Deluxe with the cab suspension works for me.

I'm not really into more electronics, but it sure is nice to see Kubota finally able to compete with Deere when it comes to a luxurious cab and seat!
All the features now of a large ag tractor. Front and rear cameras, lights on the loader arms, heated air ride seat, and my favorite feature....remote start!!
Unfortunately I'll never own one, because the current Grand L 6060 with a loader and backhoe is $100,000 here in Canada, so I can't even imagine what these will be, LOL

The MX6000 is close to being paid off and despite all the nice features in the L70 models, many just aren't important enough to me to want to upgrade. I can add front and rear cameras and remote start to the MX, and the cab in the MX is more than nice enough for me.

But an M6 .... hmmmm .... now that's a different animal altogether. Luckily I can do all that I need with the M6060 so tractor upgrades simply aren't in my future at this stage. It feels good to be really content with what I have and use.

I like the idea of the remote start, but then again I guess it's a good idea to go out and start it and give a quick glance at the gauges to make sure it has oil pressure and stuff like that.

We still get the Lxx40 model here in NZ. Guess they think we won't be prepared to pay what it costs for all those doodads. They're probably right, I'm looking at a Grand L for my new property and they're hellishly expensive.

It seems Kubota doesn’t have anything that really competes head-to-head with the John Deere 4044R — especially when you factor in loader capacity and price range. From what I can tell, the new L5070 will land about $6,000 higher than the 4044R, which makes it tough to call that a direct comparison. The L4470 looks closer in specs to the 3046R instead.


The L4470 actually beats the 3046R in overall machine weight, but it still doesn’t come close to matching the 4044R’s loader lift. I’d love to hear the strategy behind that decision from Kubota — it’s an interesting gap in their lineup.


Very sharp-looking machines though, and I can’t wait to see one in person. Hopefully they’ll have one on display at the Sunbelt Ag Expo in Georgia in a couple of weeks!

I've had some time to absorb the new features on the L70 tractors and there are some things that I simply wouldn't want or need, things that are fluff to me. The heated seat, remote start and fancy appearance of the seat don't interest me at all. It gets cold here in the winter but I've never once thought that a heated seat would be nice. I run seat covers to keep oil and dirt off the seats so all of those fancy colors and stitching would be meaningless to me.

The integrated front and rear cameras with the display being in the dash is in my opinion the most significant and practical upgrade. The controls in the joystick are nice too, both functionally and aesthetically. Cameras can be added, as well as LEDs, but an extra display would be required. That's not a bad thing though if you have room in the cab, which I do. I see cameras in my future, and maybe wireless is the way to go.

Loader lift numbers are notoriously unreliable, both because you can measure in different ways (at the pins, at the bucket centre, with the bucket on, with the bucket off), and because even when using the same measurement there seem to be ways to goose the number somehow.

I can't really imagine a machine the size of a grand-L lifting more than they already do. They're lifting most of their own weight, it'd be an enormous load on the front axle. When you lift 1000kg in the bucket, and you counter weight it, you actually end up with about 2 tonnes of weight on the front axle. I'm not sure that's a great idea.

In short, if a particular number is what you need for your use, sure. But I'd guess in real world use they're very similar.

An AI generated comparison basically comes down to "JD have separate forward and reverse pedals, Kubota has more lift capacity and more weight". So not sure your assessment is accurate (but usual caveats about AI generated summaries).
