Hi Tractophiles, At ~500 hours our GR2110 has started weeping badly from the power steering rod seals. The PS rod went rapidly from minor oil seep to a major leak on full lock on one side today. I notice online that the full seal kits are anywhere from ~$80 to $480AUD for genuine, has anybody had experience doing this job? I'm looking for any helpful tips on the process, and whether any of you had success with the cheaper seal kits, or do you all stick with genuine?

There's really nothing magic about Kubota seals. My first choice would be to remove the cylinder, take it to a hydraulic shop and let them overhaul it. A well stocked shop will probably have the parts in stock and can install them in less than an hour, depending on backlog.

Another option is to disassemble the cylinder yourself, measure the grooves, find a good on-line catalog, then order the parts and install them yourself.

Thanks for the responses. I don't mind mechanical work, though admit hydraulics is not my favourite.. I should have mentioned I am in regional Australia - so not that many machine shop options nearby that would stock parts, only a Kubota dealership 40 mins away. The kit number I tracked for the GR2110 was K2063-91650 (as per bee-positive post), I expect the BX2380/1870/2670 all use the same power steering cylinder, which seems to align with the Messicks info: https://www.messicks.com/parts/kubota/k2063-91650
I will price it (and the install) with Kubota on Monday, they do occasionally $urprise.

You're right, I must have been looking at something wrong.
