Hello:
I have a GR2100 which I've owned for over 10 years. Lately I've noticed that the vent cap, located at the rear of the tractor almost under the seat, has started to leak. The fluid levels are good (not over filled). What I don't know is whether the vent cap is failing or if there's a problem causing the vent cap to leak. The clutch pack on the trans is slipping a bit which could be causing a heat buildup in the trans - which could be causing the cap to leak, but that's only a guess. Anyone ever have to replace one of these vent caps due to a failure?
Thanks.

Simple would be to replace the vent cap.
But I think your problem is like you said in the fact that the clutches are overheating, I would dive in and fix that problem before it gets out of hand. ;)
