Got my new BX2380 today!

New to kubota, had a JD1026R and just picked up my first BX2380 with FEL, 48" deck and ballast box. Can't wait to put it to work!

Nice tractor. These BX machines are amazing. I'm liking the Volvo S90 in the background, too. Note that your ballast box completely blocks your tail lights and flashers.

Why are your 3pt arms outside the fenders when attached to the ballast box? Looks like an invitation to damage to the fenders.

I think the picture is deceptive. The arms are spread wide to accommodate the box, but they can't lift high enough to damage the fenders.

Well...nice Volvo either way. The Chinese ownership bothers me, but I like it being made in the US! Enjoy the car and the tractor.

John Deere did not offer 48" inch mowing deck.

Damn. When I purchased in 2016 I really wanted to get the then-current BX2370. But I needed a 48" deck to get through some narrow openings and down some trails that separate areas I need to mow. My dealer researched it, and said there was no way to get the small deck on anything but the 1870. IIRC, it was the larger tires on the 2370 hitting the deck guide wheels.

So to get the 48" deck I went with the BX1870. It's done great for me. But I wouldn't mind a bit more HP when running my PTO chipper. No deep regrets. But now I gotta consider an upgrade!
