I just picked up a 2016 L3301 with 192 hours on it. Fluids look GREAT. It didnt come with a bucket. The fluid looks new and clear. I dont know any history on it. Its a MANUAL. Should i just change the Transmission FILTER, and top off the fluid? I am getting a brand new bucket. Didnt know if I should change all of the fluid as well. Also Kubota dealer said just to top off with REG UDT transmission fluid and not the SUPER since I dont have the HST transmission. I may change motor oil, just to know a starting point. Anything else I should do?

By "bucket" do you mean the entire FEL (front end loader)? Or literally just the bucket?

I’d change all oils and filters, including front axle. That way you have a good starting point for future maintenance. Do you have an operating manual, that will confirm your udt question. Good luck with your new to you tractor.

engine oil at 50 hr initial, every 100 hr thereafter. These have a DPF and the DPF is sensitive. Keep the oil changed and at proper level! Also keep the air filter clean!

Now-hydraulic. Is the hydraulic filter painted gray like the rest of the transmission? IF so, change it and the fluid. The reason I say this is because at/around the 2014-2016 neighborhood, the L-01 series were susceptible to having contaminated fluid in the transmission--right from the factory. Normally it was caught and "fixed" at the dealer and if it was, it'll likely have a white filter under the right side step. Seen quite a few of them and did quite a few of them. They hydraulic system would growl, the steering would get sluggish, sometimes the hst filter would swell and leak, most of the time the loader would just get real jerky. But since you don't have a loader you won't notice that, neither would the PO, so if you have a gray filter under the right side step, change it and all of the fluid back to super udt.

Check the manual. I have an L2501 with a manual transmission and the manual says to use Super UDT-2. Where you don't know the maintenance history I would recommend a full service on everything.

I don't bet because I usually lose...but in this case I bet the OP means there is no loader on the tractor currently. Just a guess... :)

Yes, ditto. Better to ask and clarify. ;-)

It has no front end loader. I was buying a brand new one and debating on fresh oil in everything before I got the FEL installed. So I am definitely going to change the motor oil. It's also NOT hst. Its a manual. Dealer said to get udt. Should I add super UDT or just udt in the MANUAL.

I have about 600hrs now on my 3301 that I bought new in early 2018 and while I did do three engine (dino) oil and filter changes in the first 200 or so hours, I’m now on an every ~300hr schedule (am also factoring in ‘time’ between changes). I’m using Rotella-T6 full synthetic now that I’ve got 600hrs on it (I do a good bit of cold weather work). The Kubota manual itself says every 400hrs for the engine oil (after the initial changes). Also, I can count on one hand the number of auto DPF regens (never interrupted one) and have never needed to do a manual one. Never had any codes whatsoever or any other trouble pop up. I don’t let the engine do much idling, myself.
