Glow plugs

The diesels do. If somebody put a gasoline-powered motor or an electric motor in it, they probably wouldn't have kept the glow plugs.
Why are you curious if the M4900 has them? I'm surmising that your friend is having trouble and thinks the glow plugs might be malfunctioning. If so, I think you would probably get information to resolve the issue by just describing the situation.

He is not having any problems yet. He has never had a diesel and I was explaining cold weather starts. He was told that it did not have glow plugs. I will look at it next week .
