Hello all,

Silly question alert.

Is it possible my glow plugs show light while cranking only? I honestly thought this tractor did not have any. (The yanmar in my boat didn't)

I have never heard a relay, my dash is a mess, only the fuel gauge works.

Anyway, it always starts. Even in winter, single digits, it starts. At 10degrees i have to crank it 10 seconds and it starts. when it is warmer weather it start in only a few revolutions.

Everything else (other than yanmar) had a GP cycle before starting. It is very possible someone has a wire hooked up wrong. A link to a l3450 manual would be greatly appreciated.

Does your ignition switch turn to the left? That’s the way mine is. Turn the key to the left for a few seconds then turn to the right to crank as normal.

I've been running this tractor for years and never looked at that switch. Sure enough it has a heat element symbol to the left. Next time i have it in the shop I will make sure i am getting voltage to the plugs..

Do you own a 3450? I have an injector question if I may?

What do you want to know?
And yes the glow plugs get power in both the reverse position and while cranking.

Also PMing you a link to download the WSM.

And go to the link below to download the OPS manual.
