Piker, it looks like your mod will save about $145 to $150 per hub. That is based on what the replacement hubs are currently going for on ebay.

Nice going... ;)

Dan,
I'm sorry you are right and I'm wrong, you did have the right parts listed.

I have the newer hubs and only briefly glanced at a picture of the older hubs in the past, I do know that everyone says to change them out for the newer hubs.

Thanks Piker for the info. I will look it up. There is some wobble in the hubs already, the previous owner some how added a thin piece of tin between the axle and rim as a shim. It came out when I put new bolts in earlier this year and I couldn't get them back in.

According to my serial number, it is a 1976/77 ( can't remember off the top of my head).

At 37 years old I started to wobble a little bit too..........don't worry about it.

You stand a better chance to throwing a rod tomorrow than a wheel falling off.

I hope like heck I don't throw a rod, the engine was completely rebuilt 2 years ago. :) I have owned this tractor for a year now and the previous owner had it for about a year after having it rebuilt. I even talked to the guy who rebuilt it for him and he showed me the receipts for it. It purrs really nice! :D
