I want to fit a 12v winch and some extra lights(nothing to powerfull) just aux really to my B6000, but i suspect the original generator is not really going to be upto the job. Manual spec says output of Daytime- 90w and night -60w (30w used for exsisting head lights).

The question is, will i be better off changing to a newer alternator (25amp)setup to help deal with the extra load ,or will there be no significant improvement.
any help or soilutions would be greatly recieved.

thanks for the reply, i have a question now though.
I see that the original generator is mounted with the cooling fan on the front, also no obvious place that a direct replacemnt alternator would mount and be able to be belt driven, can you possibly expand on what is needed to be done to permit this modification.
thanks
