1. The older the tractor, the larger and more visible the smokestack/muffler/exhaust pipe.

2. The durability of the zinc plating on the nuts, bolts, and screws on my B7100 is incredible.

3. The newer the tractor, the more color-coded the controls.

Newer - The bigger the workshop manual, the more specialised tools required and the more that can go wrong.

Older - the harder it is to find parts, but generally more straight forward it is to work on.

Newer - Better than no tractor

Older - Better than no tractor

If it gets the job done doesn't matter the age :) :D

Hilarious! Need to add two more after picking up my tractor from the dealer tonight...1) Man is my B7100 smaller than I thought it was, 2) Man that thing is built like a tank. My Mitsubishi Outlander was about three inches from pavement all the way home. Therefore, something akin to Murphy's Law: Anything you buy begs yet another purchase, and so on, and so on. When does it end?

The newer the machine the more the safety stickers.
The day will come when the factory will not have to paint the machine....just ask what color you want the stickers in.

Called my buddy Roger over at A1 Trailer and Hitch. Turns out I was placing the Kubota too far forward. I had watched a Tractor Mike video on YouTube about "negative tongue weight" and thought I was doing what was necessary. Roger told me to put the weight over the axles. Strapped it down forwards and back and man did it ride higher, smoother, and better. You don't know until you know and like I said I'm new at this. I understand now that the video was showing how to deal with a loader and I don't have one.

I work for a company that manufactures the adhesives for those decals. Our other facilities coat those vinyl labels! I see no issues with them at all. (Until my retirement nears)!
Also..............
Older tractors have flat edges from the hoods to the front grills.
Newer tractors have sleek streamlined edging with plenty of clear plastics to yellow and cloud prematurely! (And collect water like a nice terrarium)!

I take note of where the back end of the truck sits before loading. Then look for an inch or two of drop on the back of the truck after everything is loaded.

Sometimes to achieve the best position, you back onto the trailer instead of driving on the trailer. Just depends on the set up, whether or not you have a loader, and what implement your hauling. Or if you need to take multiple implements.

Unfortunately there is no exact spot on your trailer for hauling since it changes depending on equipment and implements. When you find a good position for your tractor and a certain implement. Take note of it, so next time, you can just load, chain and go :D

Add an EZ Lift hitch and it will tow much better and won't be anywhere near as critical where you are on the trailer.
