I had this in the shop, ALL summer, so went to get it back and was moving manure from near the house.
The rubber bootie broke, i thought I ordered the correct one, looks small.
Got the parts number from the forum.

Will not easily go into gear, help please...

That 40 year old boot looks pretty dry rotted. Probably got 10 years worth of dust, dirt, and water in there. Take it apart, clean it, lube it up.

Go to this website and type in your tractor model and you can see illustrated parts lists and find the correct part number. Sometimes they are specific model number and/or serial number specific.

Yes

I need to know the proper boot to replace it.

one step at time……
Give me the tractors serial number near where your left foot goes.

The boot that is on your tractor right now does not look like a B7100 boot, most likely aftermarket.
