Gear Box for 48" mower deck

I have a G2160 with the 48" Grass collector. The discharge is in the back central. The gear start leaking so now I have to change the bearing shaft . I wonder if i can get the gear box complete as one piece or I need to order the different parts . Will have to change the bearing under the deck also as the bearings look bad. If I can get the gear box complete what web site do I go to. Thanks for all help.

First, I would stop by your local dealer just to get an idea of what its gonna be. You could also look at the Kubota websites illustrated parts guide and check someone like messicks.com. a "NEW" complete gear box i'm afraid would be prohibitively expensive. might could try WKYTP, a kubota tractor salvage yard. Good luck and don't forget to touch back here to let us know whats going on getting this fixed.

Is yours a mowing deck or grass collector? If it is mowing deck, I can help you as I take my 48" mower deck completely apart (including gearbog) every year at end of season and go through everything, replace/repack all bearings and replace seals and completely clean deck (easy when it is just sheet metal) then when it is re-assembled, I am ready for the summer mowing (7 acres).
