Is there an after market for this item. As discussed earlier it is totally ridiculous to pay over a hundred dollars for a 4" diameter fiber glass disc 1/32" thick. I have manufactured one using a grinder cut off disc with moderate success. I'm getting tired of making these things. Was considering using a thin piece of metal on my next try. If I could find one reasonably priced I would go there. Any ideas??

Had to buy one about a dozen years ago, think it was about $60 then.

Next time I'll probably make one from some type of FRP material. Thought about aluminum, but have doubts of it holding up to the vibrations. Metal of any type might cause more damage if it fails.

Thick chunk of rubber, like from a horse mat, might work too.
