G5200hst sleeve hitch?

The last G5200 I acquired had a receiver on it that I hadn't seen before. I took some pictures of it to show it off. What do you all think?
I have it propped up off the floor so it's easier to see. Just an odd shaped thing.

No body have a clue either? Solid built item with an odd size opening. Hadn't figured what to use it for yet.

Looks to be homemade, and well executed.

Would make a good starting point for a rear mounted battey box. That is my plan this winter for my G5200.

That is a serious hunk of metal to bolt onto the rear of a 14HP garden-tractor.

Let me be of help, that is the adapter that bolts to the back of the transaxle for the Kubota Grass Catcher Model # MDC-C 44G-C bag carrier. What do you think of that!
