Seat safety switch. Or could be any of the others have failed, got a neutral safety switch too?

After verifying that all safeties are met, no blade engagement, brake set, in neutral, try a quick jump from the battery lead on the starter solenoid to small "start" terminal and see if it then spins the starter. This just checks the power cable and the starter; doesn't say which safety switch is bad or connector pulled loose. Mice sometimes like to chew up wires.

I looked at the parts book, the only easy one to locate is the seat switch, obviously under the seat. There's one on the speed control pedal unit, on the inside of the mechanism underneath (neutral switch?) and one on what is called "lifting arms unit". The 2 lifting arms go upward at an angle and pivot on this "table" like unit, unfortunately again the switch is inside and underneath.

I have a g2160 also. Are you pressing on the brake pedal. You have to press on it for the the starter to engage. Also the kill solenoid you may have to push in it may be pushed out and did not reset all the way in.
