Hi,

I'm trying to replace the instrument panel on a 2WD g1900. I cannot get the steering wheel off. I have removed the faceplace and the nut underneath. Any help/suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

thanks!

When I removed the steering wheel from my B8200 it came off really hard so I used a puller, it did the job but damaged the bottom of the steering wheel. I had asked the same question as you on this forum. Shortly after I had it off another OTT member suggested drilling 2 holes in the top plate, threading them and using bolts to push the steering wheel off. Which is a much better idea than what I did. Just make sure to only drill through the top plate. If you can, just wait for a bit and maybe someone else has a better idea. Good luck.:D Dusty

To get the wheel off my B8200 I used a small bottle jack and a length of chain. Didn't do any damage but maybe a steering wheel puller would be a good investment.
