I am now pretty sure my fuel leak , at the the fuel line eyelet/ injector pump housing, must be coming from a crack in the eyelet at the base of the fuel hose nossle ( which the fuel hose clamps on to).
I found some small pieces of old, age hardened plastic like material (maybe Araldite) hidden below the nossle and realised it must be an old epoxy resin fix that has now broke away.
Since I have relaced fuel hose and copper gaskets and the clamp is fine this is starting to add up!
The crack is not visible but with hydraulic pressure, it probably doesn't have to be to leak a lot.
Any way I'll seal it and see.
Can anyone recommend a good sealant for a fine metallic crack that resists diesel and tolerates the pressure.
