Fuel preference

I just bought a 2380 . I have aprox. 200 gallons of 20/80 kero to #2 diesel mix that I used in my last tractor . It was great for the old Bolens but will it hurt the new 2380 ???

It would be fine in cold temps, but to get your horsepower you would want to be using straight #2 in temps above 32.

I agree with Workerbee. You can use that mix effectively in temps up to 60 degrees or so. Even if you use it at temps up to 70 degrees or so, it would still be an acceptable fuel mix. You will get slightly reduced power and use slightly more fuel per hour but it will not hurt the engine. If you are operating in temps over 70 degrees you may want to switch to straight #2 diesel though.

May not be an issue with low percentages but, I would think a more important factor would be lubricity. Kero has less than D2.
