An L224? Never heard of that model tractor....... mis-type? L225 perhaps? That would be a L1200 loader on the L225. Your machine did call for the same loader.

Also - the L285 ended production in 1981, not 85 - year really doesnt mean much btw.

You will need the subframe and all of the "hydraulics" that go with that loader.

All you will need is a drill, a plasma/acetylene torch, a welder, a good tape measure, a magnet level, a square. And a steady hand. And some mechanical skills. Come to think of if you will probably need some hydraulic jacks or a fork lift, jack stands. And a vertical milling machine. And a good surface level concrete floor. Some big welding clamps.

Easy peasy.

Edit. If your toolbox contains nothing but duct tape and a pair of channel locks this definitely sounds like a project for you. Do it on the front lawn and entertain the neighbors.
